The R.A.C.E. Guide has meaning
Sons of Thunder Ministry, Inc. is involved with the racing community,
so it is fitting that we R.A.C.E
for Jesus!
The
story behind the R.A.C.E. guide is that many years ago I heard a young girl share a testimony that while she was in Russia,
she saw people tearing the Bible apart, not to degrade or destroy the Bible, but taking it apart so that
everyone could have a piece of the Bible. The R.A.C.E. guide is handed out one piece-at-a-time so that everyone
can have one piece of the Bible to share. Enjoy the reading of God’s word one piece at a time.

R: Repenting of sin
Receiving Salvation
in Christ
Respond in Trust.
As members of the Sons of Thunder Ministry it is our desire to help persons discover the reality of sin and its consequential
bondage. Helping people to become aware of sin and it’s effects in their lives will make them realize the importance
of repenting and/or turning away from sin. James
4:1-3, Titus 3:5, Ephesians2: 8-9, Romans 3:90-18; 4:4-5, Mark 1:15, Psalm 51

Accepting
Jesus as Lord and Savior;
Accepting
His Assurance:
Aware of God’s
presence in life.
Salvation is to be shared, therefore it
is important for STM team members to help persons come to accept God’s forgiveness? It is important to let people know
that through Christ, the grace of God is accessible to everyone. As I was taught from a child, the heart of the gospel is
“For God so loved the world that He gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may have
eternal life (John 3:16)”
Atonement is
made possible through the life; death, and-resurrection of Jesus Christ. It was and is for the whole world to receive. Through
acceptance of Christ is this gift of grace, everyone can know forgiveness of sin and can be made right with God.
Matthew 26:28, Philippians 2:5-11, Acts 4:14-- 16:29-31, James

C: Conscious belief in Christ Jesus

Conviction of sin
It is important as a STM team member that we assist people in making a confession of faith in Christ. People often
need help in putting trust in Christ. John 3:6 says that “What is born of the flesh is flesh, and what is born of the
Spirit is spirit” and people need help to receive Him as found in John 1:42 as it says, “but to all who-receive
him, who believed in his name, he gave power to become children of God.”
E. Evangelizing
Salvation is to be shared. Jesus
Himself went to Galilee proclaiming the good news of God and saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God
has come near; repent, and believe in the good news. He gave us other commands to follow such as: To love
thy neighbor and another was to “go therefore and make-disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father
and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you. And remember, I am
with you-always, to the-end-of the-age.” Matthew 28:19-20
